Frequently Asked Questions

1. General

What is Chess Big Game?
Chess Big Game is an online chess platform where you can play casual games, rated matches, and money games against real opponents. You can also join tournaments and test your skills in Arcade-style challenges.

How can I register?
To register on Chess Big Game, just enter your phone number. We’ll send you a verification code to get started.

Can I win money by playing chess?
Yes. You can earn money by playing in Paid Games, Arcade Games, and by collecting Activity Points. Top players with the most points can receive a share of the platform’s fees. There are also special tournaments with cash and prize rewards.

What’s the difference between casual and rated games?
Casual games do not affect your rating, so they’re great for practice. Rated games use the Glicko-2 rating system and can change your chess rating depending on your performance.

2. Paid Games

What is a Stake Game?
Both players deposit the same amount at the start. The winner takes all (minus a 3.5% platform fee). If it’s a draw, the money is split.

What is a Donation Game?
Only one player deposits money. Regardless of the result, the second player receives the amount. It’s used to pay someone to play against you. The money may be refunded if the second player doesn’t play enough.

When is money actually deposited?
Money is locked in after both players make their first move. If there’s a payment issue, the game is canceled and money is refunded.

When is money refunded in Donation Games?
If the second player plays less than 18 moves or quits early, the deposit is returned.

3. Activity Points

What are Activity Points?
Activity Points (AP) are points you earn by playing. Players with the most AP can earn real rewards each month.

How do I earn Activity Points?
You earn AP by playing different types of games:

1 AP – casual games

2 AP – rated games

3–48 AP – paid games (depends on stake)

3 AP – nano Arcade

4 AP – micro Arcade

7 AP – macro Arcade

12 AP – mega Arcade

48 AP – high roller Arcade

What are the rules for earning AP?

You must be logged into your own account

Games must last 20+ moves (unless they end in checkmate/stalemate)

Lightning games don’t count

In Arcade, AP is given after payment

Do Activity Points expire?
Yes. Points expire after 30 days. Keep playing to stay on the leaderboard.

How do I get rewarded?
Link your account to HandCash and reach the top 100 AP players.

Can I farm AP by playing the same person?
Only the first 5 games per day against the same player count. This doesn’t apply to Arcade.

Can I use two accounts to play myself?
No. Creating multiple accounts is against our rules and can lead to losing your earnings.

Can I sell or transfer AP?
No. Activity Points are tied to your personal account.

4. Arena Tournaments

What are arena tournaments?
These are fast-paced competitions where you earn points by winning games. Prizes and rankings are awarded at the end.

How do I join an arena?
Click “Join” on any open Arena tournament. Some require a password or minimum rating to enter.

Can I host an arena?
If you want to organize your own Arena, please contact us at info@ChessBigGame.com or via Discord.

Are arena games rated?
Yes. Every game played in an arena affects your rating.

How are points given?

Win: 2 points

Draw: 1 point

Loss: 0 points

Winning streak: double points

Berserk win: +1 point

What is Berserk?
Berserk mode cuts your clock time in half. If you win after activating it, you get an extra point.
